Description

Go beyond the traditional understanding of the Holy Trinity with this new exploration from Sr Anne Marie Mongoven on the relationship between humankind and the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This book delves into the mysteries of the Trinity through investigation of dynamic literary images and reveals what the love between the Holy Trinity can teach us about loving each other and ourselves.

Anne Marie Mongoven, native of Chicago, Illinois, taught for some years in schools located throughout the United States after entering the Dominican Sisters of Sinsinawa, Wisconson. After completing doctoral studies at the Catholic University of America, she served as professor Emerita in the Religious Studies department at Santa Clara. She founded the Graduate Program in Pastoral Ministries at Santa Clara University and directed it for many years. She died shortly after completing this book in July 2017.

In this little gem – finished shortly before she died – Anne Marie Mongoven unpacks what the Trinitarian relationships within the divine mystery mean in our lives. She wrote her final book in the hope the reader would ‘love more fully, love God, love your neighbour, love yourself, love the universe and everything in it’. This pastorally sensitive book succeeds in realising her hope. – Steven Privett, S.J., President Emeritus, San Francisco University
