Description
The Pink Ribbon Path is a path for healing and hope, which once embarked upon becomes a daily joy. The first edition of the book was written and compiled during Mary Redmond Ussher’s journey through the cancer experience, from diagnosis to treatment and what came after. It included original prayers and reflections as well as extracts from a wide range of sources that offered comfort and strength to the thousands of women who go through breast cancer treatment every year.
Following The Pink Ribbon Path is a revised edition which includes Mary’s original book and a new introduction and biography written by Mary’s son Patrick after her death in 2015. It also contains a number of testimonies from the many people who were touched by Mary and found support thanks to the first edition of the book, including Deirdre Garvey (CEO of The Wheel), Sharon Foley (CEO of the Irish Hospice Foundation) and former president, Mary McAleese.
All royalties from the sale of this book are donated to the Irish Hospice Foundation.
Mary Redmond Ussher was a corporate lawyer, academic and founder of a number of charities, including the Irish Hospice Foundation and the Wheel.
